WorkMood connects workers and hirers for on-demand services through a safe, transparent, and reliable platform.

WorkMood is a platform that connects workers and hirers (clients) for on-demand services.

We aim to provide a safe, transparent, and reliable marketplace for all users.

By using WorkMood, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information (All Users - Worker & Hirer)

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Permanent Address
  • Profile Photo (Selfie - Mandatory for all users)

b. Additional Information (Workers Only - Mandatory)

To ensure trust and safety:

  • Age (must be 18+)
  • Government-issued ID (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN, etc.)

c. Additional Information (Hirers)

  • Hirers are NOT required to submit Government ID or Age proof
  • Only basic details are collected

d. Location Data

  • Real-time GPS location
  • Used to connect nearby workers and works

e. Payment Information

  • Transaction details (amount, date, transaction ID)
  • We DO NOT store card or bank details

3. Purpose of Data Collection

We use your data to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Verify login via OTP
  • Match workers with nearby works
  • Enable service booking
  • Improve trust and safety
  • Prevent fraud and misuse
  • Maintain platform activity records
  • Resolve disputes
  • Calculate and manage platform service fee after successful work connections
  • Detect and prevent attempts to bypass the platform to avoid platform fee

4. Legal Basis

We process data based on:

  • User consent
  • Legitimate interest (fraud prevention & safety)
  • Legal obligations under Indian law

5. Authentication

We use OTP-based phone number authentication for secure access.

6. Payments

Payments are processed through:

  • Razorpay

Important:

  • WorkMood collects a platform service fee from workers after successful work connections
  • Payments for services are handled directly between workers and hirers
  • We DO NOT store card or bank details
  • Payments are securely handled by third-party gateways

WorkMood does not act as a payment intermediary, escrow service, or marketplace for financial transactions.

Transparency Note:

  • The platform fee is charged only for platform usage and connection services, not for employment

7. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your data.

We may share:

  • Basic profile details between users for service purposes
  • With service providers (Firebase, Razorpay)
  • When required by law

8. Third-Party Services

We use:

  • Firebase (authentication, database, notifications)
  • Razorpay (payments)

These services follow their own privacy policies.

9. Data Security

We use:

  • Secure transmission (HTTPS)
  • Controlled access

However, no system is completely secure.

10. Data Retention

  • Data is retained while the account is active
  • Some data may be retained as required by law

Worker ID Verification Data

  • Government ID is collected only for verification
  • Verified within 3 days
  • Deleted after verification (maximum within 7 days)

11. User Rights

You can:

  • Access your data
  • Update your profile
  • Request account deletion

12. Account Deletion

To delete your account, email workmood26@gmail.com and include your registered phone number.

  • Data deletion within 7-30 working days
  • Some data may be retained for legal compliance

13. Notifications

We may send:

  • OTP messages
  • work/service updates

We do NOT send promotional messages without consent.

14. Age Policy

  • Workers: Must be 18 years or older (mandatory)
  • Hirers: Must be legally capable of using services

15. Liability Disclaimer

WorkMood acts only as a platform connecting workers and hirers.

  • We do NOT guarantee service quality
  • We are NOT responsible for user behavior, work outcome, or disputes
  • Any agreement is directly between worker and hirer

16. Location Usage Transparency

  • Location is used only to show nearby works and users
  • Location is accessed only when required and with permission
  • We do NOT track users continuously in the background without consent

17. Fraud / Misuse Policy

WorkMood reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or block accounts involved in fraud
  • Take action against misuse or suspicious activity
  • Restrict access without prior notice if safety is at risk
  • Investigate attempts to bypass the platform to avoid platform fee

18. Changes to Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be communicated through the app.

19. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of India.
